Thoughts
Winter is coming to an end, while spring is just about to bloom! I love this time of year because you really get to see your surroundings change from a dull winter setting to a gorgeous spring setting with blooming flowers that each bring another splash of colour and life in the canvas of nature. Yesterday when I was walking home from school while listening to music, I saw my neighbour’s dog out on the front lawn attached to her lease. Every year this magical moment marks the beginning of Spring for me and I always pet her for a good five minutes because I can’t resist her “puppy eyes”. However not only are dogs cute, but so are llamas. For this week’s blog I decided to review Emperor’s New Groove!
This classic film from 2000 is a hilarious and wildly entertaining film that I loved when I was a kid. In addition to being wildly entertaining, I believe that the film is an excellent analogy for our modern era. Thanks to computers and technology we are blessed with endless amounts of information. But this blessing can also be considered a “curse” similar to how Kuzco turns into a llama after Yzma poisons him. Not all information is created equal, some information is true and some is false; some is valuable and some is trivial.

Character Development
One of my favourite scenes from this film is seen in the image below. I really like this scene because Kuzco forgot how much he "hated" being a llama. In this scene you can also see how much he's changed throughout the film. I really enjoyed seeing the character development in this film. For example, at the beginning of the film, Kuzco was an arrogant and cocky emperor, but by the end of the film he became a genuinely caring person from his hardships and experiences as a llama.
I also think Pacha was a big factor in helping Kuzco develop into a better person as well. I believe that Pacha truly brought out the best from Kuzco and also taught him right from wrong since he grew up in a pampered rich lifestyle without morals. All in all, I definitely recommend that you watch this film if you haven't already. It's great for the kids and it teaches them good lessons as well.
