With my sister moving out I'm feeling a little under the weather so for this week's blog I will be discussing perspective. There are two ways to look at something, or a certain situation. I can choose to be upset and grumpy about my sister leaving, or I can see the good side of this situation. It is great that she is finally moving out and moving up in her life, I should be happy for her. Though my sister and I are ten years apart, we are incredibly close. She and I are like best friends and we do everything together. I cannot imagine her leaving me, however I have to accept that. Likewise, in life, sometimes you must look at things through other people's perspectives. For example, I sometimes believe that we love over-criticizing everything, having no hope for beautiful things and losing fond admiration for the silly, whimsical aspects of life. It's an attitude that I believe is corrupting our capability to strive for greatness in our lives. I mean, happiness is a choice so choose wisely.
Albert Einstein once said, "You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it." In order to understand ourselves, others, and the world around us, we need to be able to change and adapt our perspectives. By looking at a problem from different perspectives, possibilities for solving it become easier to discover.
